I picked this one up in advance of a holiday trip. In these times I always need some softer music for my companion which rocks only a little. But "Ghosts on Tape" even rocks a bit more. The album has still edges and corners, it sounds modern and timeless the same time, it is varied, often catchy and dynamic. Even for me as a metalhead BLOOD RED SHOES is a band which transports enough energy and ideas with its electro indie rock to stay sustainably interesting. Check "Sucker". H.L.
The London band's new album is a vibrant postcard from southern Italy, boosted by brass, strings, and pizzica percussion from local players. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 14, 2024

I love Cranes, and I picked up a cassette of Fuse when I saw them at the Leadmill in Sheffield in the early nineties. They once supported 'The Young God's' there, and I saw them several times all those years ago and then at Bestival later on. The last time was in Hackney at the Earth Centre, and it was a fantastic evening! Fuse is a favourite of mine, and I still have my cassette and my 'Wings of Joy' poster. Now it's time for the CD. 💜 All the best to you, Cranes! J232
